Here are my spoiler-filled thoughts on the latest episodes 1 and 2 of the Korean drama “Island,” now available on Amazon Prime Video. Horror action drama starring Cha Eun-woo. It’s Cha Eun-woo’s newest! I was so happy to start watching it, but I gave up after 2 episodes…
Prime Video K-drama Island Latest Episodes 1 & 2 Spoilers and Reactions
Today I would like to talk about a Korean drama available on amazon prime video.
As of January 3, the date of this recording, there have been two episodes.
I watched them.
First of all, I would like to introduce the synopsis of the drama and the cast.
Kim Nam-gil, Lee Dah-hee, and Cha Eun-woo.
I am sure that many of you have already seen the show because it features everyone’s favorite Cha Eun-woo.
The synopsis of the story is about a monster named Choi Young Gui.
There is a monster who is trying to control the world.
In order to save the world from this demon, Bang and Gun-tan are raised as exorcism monks.
But these two were treated like slaves.
There was a girl named Wonjen who tried to save them.
But the rescue mission ended in failure.
And after that, probably in the next life.
She was reborn as Miho in this next life.
Won-jen was reborn as Miho. But she has no memory of that time.
But she was attacked by a demon, Choi Yeong Gui.
Then, Bang rescued him, and that’s how the story goes.
The story is like that.
The story is based on the manga, which you can read on line manga in Japan.
It is not a webtoon, but a black-and-white manga, so I think the original story is quite old.
First of all, I think there are two highlights of the movie.
The first is the action scene.
The action scenes are very powerful.
He’s so cool.
And the second is, of course, Chowne.
He looks so cool, you’ll sigh!
He plays the role of a priest, Yohan.
So I was paying attention to him…
Unfortunately, I had to give up at this point.
I started to see Chownu, but I felt like I couldn’t go any further.
I would like to point out a few things that are wrong with Island.
First of all, the development is a little slow.
I don’t mind if there are action scenes in the show.
But after watching the first two episodes, I felt that the story
I don’t think the story progressed very well in the first two episodes.
Also, I’m not sure if Miho, who plays the heroine, really understands why she’s being attacked.
She doesn’t even know why she’s being attacked. And of course, Ban doesn’t explain it yet.
That’s a little frustrating.
It’s a slow development. Why didn’t you tell him earlier?
The second thing is that Cha Eun-woo didn’t say enough.
Secondly, there is not enough Cha Eun-woo.
They could cast Cha Eun-woo as a leading man.
But Cha Eun-woo doesn’t appear in many scenes.
Maybe it’s because it’s only the second episode.
But we don’t have enough Cha Eun-woo at all.
Thirdly, and this is the most fundamental point…
The screen is dark.
In a series with demons and monsters, you have to make it dark to make it realistic.
I think there is a reason that the realism is lost if it’s not dark enough.
It’s a little too dark.
Half of the episodes are at night, so it’s a bit…
If the dark scenes go on and on
It’s hard to watch if the scenes are too dark.
If you’ve read the original story…
Or those who are Cha Eun-woo’s fans…
I’m sure you’ll continue to watch it after this.
But I’m afraid I’m going to give up now.
I’m sorry, but I’m looking forward to the next one.
I’ve talked about Island today.
See you again!
