ジェニファーローレンス主演、そして「マザー」ってタイトルから、てっきりヒューマンドラマかと思ってました（笑）
全然違ってホラーだったんで驚きです
そして脚本・監督がなんとダーレン・アロノフスキー！！
トラウマ必至のレクイエム・フォー・ドリームそしてブラック・スワンを監督したダーレン・アロノフスキー作品への出演なら
ジェニファーローレンスが本作に出るのも納得です。

#mothermovie #projection #roadtrip The Palace Theater in #GaryIndiana Construction began in 1924 and the theater opened a year later featuring live stage shows, vaudeville acts, and then motion pictures. From the time it opened, the theater was one of the grandest venues in Gary. Acts at the Palace could entertain up to 3,000 guests and harbored a large theater following in the midwest. The Palace was luxurious, ornate, and brought a class to Gary that had been previously absent. However, as the steel industry in Gary came to a halt in the early 60s, the downtown businesses began to experience real problems with violence & crime. In 1968, a 10th grade student named Aldrid Black was stabbed to death in the Palace's crowded lobby after a showing of Bonnie and Clyde. Despite efforts to make it safer, violent incidents would continue to occur on the premises, and the theater soon slipped into infamy as the newspapers reported crime after crime. After a young woman was attacked in the ladies room in January of 1972, the Palace was immediately shut down. In 1975, 1987, and 2005 there were efforts to renovate & reopen the theater but due to the permanent mark of crime and violence all attempts failed. In 2001 Mayor Scott King and Donald Trump came up with an agreement for the Miss U.S.A pageant to be hosted in Gary. Many of the bored up facades in Gary were painted over with murals by the Neighborhood Service Company of Chicago. The Palace Theater had fake windows installed with painted human silhouettes in them. A new marquee was installed on the theater as well reading "Jackson Five tonite."
